Vampire Literature vs Vampyres IN Literature

Over the centuries, a vast library of vampire lore, myth and fiction has built up. As scholars research older and extinct cultures, new myths and fictions are added to this library – while modern writers and artists add to the vast storehouse of modern vampire fiction and lore, spurred on by the allure of the undead fictional night demon.

Meanwhile, Vampyres and participants in the global Vampyre subculture also write about their own experiences of their condition, and create a treasure-house of narrative material written by Vampyres, and about Vampyres.

What tends to muddy the waters though, is that sometimes Vampyre writers will ALSO write vampire fiction, and sometimes it becomes very difficult to differentiate between the two.

This section attempts to do just that.
